Over the weekend , Paddy Cosgrave and Web Summit made the bombshellannouncementthat Cosgrave would step down from his stake as CEO of the engineering conference business — a move made to attempt to shut down the book on a sea ofcontroversy and high - profile conference cancellationsthat had been pouring on him and his engineering issue commercial enterprise after Cosgrave made comment decisive of Israel in the wake of Hamas ’ pernicious attack on Israeli civilian and the ensuing revenge from Israel .
