Your Mi Band is more than a simple-minded fitness tracker . We recently showed you how tounlock Windows personal computer with Mi band 3/2.And as it turns out , you could also use it to keep in line music from your phone without taking it out of your pocket . Or even best , if you have a smart TV or chromecast , you could skip songs on it using your MI Band .
Mi Band is a Bluetooth powered activeness tracker which happens to house a button which we ’re going to work to our own vantage . To get started , you need is your Mi Band 2/3 and an Android Phone . Sorry iPhone users .
To get this working , we ’ll use a third party Android app – Mi Band 2 function push button , which would heed for the clit press on MI Band and when pressed , kick the bucket predetermined control to the designated apps . For instance , If I want to change a medicine track on my phone , the app would listen to the Mi band and when I compress the button on it , it would send a next track sign to the medicine player . The music player would then change the tracks . This work for most of the apps that I ’ve used but I wo n’t say it is reliable . It can sometimes be jerky or delayed but that ’s not a prominent lot .
Mi Band 3 Music Control
First , we ’re going to download theMi Band 2 part buttonon your Android smartphone . you’re able to tap the connectedness to download it from the Play Store . It ’s complimentary . Even though , the name says , MI Band 2 , it works finely with Mi Band 3 app . Next , you need to pair the app with your Mi Band , using the Bluetooth address . To find the Bluetooth reference of your Mi Band , simply go to the official Mi Fit app andtap the profile tab , take the Mi Band and scroll to the bottom and you ’d find theBluetooth addressthere . Long press on the Bluetooth address to copy it on your clipboard .
Next , go back toFunction buttonapp and glue the Bluetooth address next to the Set button and rap onSet . This should link your Mi Band with Mi band 2 Function button app .
Connect the Mi Band to the Function app by pressing the connect clit and you ’re now ready to place functions . You canset functionsfor asingle , dual and triple rap .
One little matter I should explicate before go further , Mi Band does n’t have a forcible release , so the app ca n’t recognize the double and treble tap , only the single tap would puzzle out for Mi Band 3 . For using double tap and triple tap you need the Mi Band 2 .
To Keep things wanton I ’ll assignnext trackto the undivided tap function .
Now select the apps with which you specify to use the Mi Band , I use Google Play music and YouTube regularly and it sour fine for those apps . I have not prove this app for every app so you would have to try it for your best-loved apps .
Go to a music app or YouTube and get play a Playlist , and whenever you wish well to change the track justtapthe button on theMi Bandand itchanges the trackon the medicine app .
There ’s one more affair you should recognise , a tap would only work if the screen on the Mi Band is OFF , if it is ON just hold off a few seconds for it to go black and viola you may now change path from your Mi Band .
