We lately got a Samsung Note 9 in the office and I ’ve been setting it up with a few all-important apps . After a while , I stimulate an annoying ‘ Audible is using battery ‘ notification , which unlike other notification ca n’t be lift aside .
Why is that ?
In Android 8.0 Oreo , Google introduced a fresh feature called ‘ haunting apprisal ‘ , that detects electric battery draining app in the backcloth ( coughing Facebook Messenger ) and show it in the notification tray . While I like the thought of the persistent notification , it sure enough gets a bit annoying after a while . Thankfully there is a quick means to disable it .
Fix – App is Using Battery Notification
Swipe down on the notification subtlety , to wreak up the “ app is using battery ” notification
retentive mechanical press on that notification(or swoop it will if that does n’t work ) and newfangled setting sprocket will pop up with atoggle buttonright next to it .
Tapon the toggle switch , to disable it .
Save changes by tap on the ‘ Save ‘ option at the bottom . And it should cover the tenacious notification . Do observe , this only hides the presentment , the app is still running in the background . If it ’s not an combat-ready app like a music role player or podcast , you need to ‘ hale close-fitting ’ it .
Alternatively , you could install Hide “ feed in the background ” Notification app from the Google Play Store . As long as you have this app instal , you wo n’t see any persistent notification on your phone .
