It is a great software package for connecting Android phones with Windows PC , but something is missing . So I try both apps and here are the difference between the two .

Compatible Devices
The Motorola Smart Connect app to begin with known as Ready for app works in the first place only on Motorola and Lenovo smartphones . On the contrary , thePhone Link app(earlier called Your Phone ) run on all Android phones and even iPhones . Get Phone Notifications on PC
Both apps support register phone notifications on a computer in real time . However , regrettably , notification did n’t sync for me using the Motorola Smart Connect appon my Samsung Fold .
On the obstinate , theywork like a charm on the Phone Link app . you could even reply to notification , exonerated , PIN number , or mark them unread powerful from my laptop . you could even call on off telling from some apps . For example , I ’ve disabled WhatsApp notification due to the constant influx of message notice .
Screen Mirroring (aka Control Phone from PC)
While both apps support the feature , each has its limitations . For starters , the Screen Mirroring feature ( known as Phone on PC ) did n’t work on my Samsung or Pixel telephone using the Smart Connect app . I imagine it ’s single to Motorola phones . likewise , theScreen mirror featureis available only for Samsung , OnePlus , Oppo , and Asus telephone in the Phone Link app . Other headphone include my Google Pixel do not support the feature .

Use as Storage Device
The affair that I passing like about the Smart Connect app is itsability to get at the internal storageof my Android sound from PC and that too wirelessly . Not only that , I can evenaccess my PC ’s pamphlet on my Android phone . What ’s more interesting is that I can select the microcomputer folder that should show on my Android phone .

This feature has been part of the Phone Link app on PC for a long time now . So you could fundamentally call , view call history , and send or receive phone messages from your Windows PC without even impact the telephone .
Android Apps on PC
The Phone Link app allow Samsung users entirely to practice their mobile apps on PC . you could even immobilise apps to the Windows taskbar for faster accession . However , this feature has a serious drawback that you require to unlock the phone every time you want to access an app remotely . I understand the concealment business but what ’s the use if I have to come to my phone ? I would rather do something on my sound itself than on the PC . In my opinion , I should be able to get at apps without unlock my phone .
While this feature film is useable for Moto phones on Smart Connect , it ’s not available on other Android phones .
Ease of Use

The Phone Link app offer the clipboard sync feature but it’slimited to Samsung Galaxy phonesonly . On the other hand , the clipboard sync feature show for all Android phones in the Smart Connect app but in my examination , it did n’t work on for me on any phone . It would have been great if it worked as the Smart Connect app shows a Clipboard as well .
