IOS 14 is out with some major update such asBack Tap , succinct Call UI , Compact Siri , Resize Picture in Picture window , etc , but the most surprising addition is the ability to alter the default web browser on the iPhone . This would let you set any browser app as the nonremittal app across the total iOS . permit ’s see how .
Change the Default Browser on iPhone
in the first place it was n’t possible to change the nonpayment browser app on iPhone until iOS 14 so every link was redirected to Safari . Now , you could assign Chrome , Firefox , or any other web browser as the default app . Begin byopening the preferences app , and Scroll down to the web internet browser app of your selection . In my case , I wanted to jell Chrome as my default internet browser . pat Chrometo open its preferences .
In Chrome options , you ’d find theoption for Default browsers , tap it . Here you cantap Chrometo put it as the default app .
Once that is done , you would see the choice to open any link in Chrome instead of Safari . For instance , if you search for anything in the Spotlight , it would suggest the option to get to the link in Chrome . Here is a before and after image shown below .
