societal web Bluesky is rolling out a new reading of its software , which adopts some of the features former X users have missed . Nope , it ’s not an edit button ! Instead , the loose social connection is adding support for chat reaction in its direct messages feature and is revamping its search page as “ Explore , ” direct user to vogue , hint score , Starter Packs , and more .

The features both take inspiration from X , which has let usersreact to direct messages with an emojisince 2020 . X expand the feature of speech a few years later , allowing users to choose any emoji beyond the default set .

Bluesky is now offering the same , as drug user can now tap the emoji button next to a person ’s content to tote up a reaction . In the initial pop - up , a handful of vulgar emojis like the heart , finger up , eyes , distressing face , and a laugh face are available . However , users can come home on the three - battery-acid fare to take any other emoji as their reaction , standardized to what they can do in X.
