Automattic CEO Matt Mullenweg said on Thursday that 159 employee ( or so 8.4 % of staff)accepted a severing packagethat the company had offered to those who disagree with his direction of WordPress and hishandling of the rough-and-tumble with web hosting provider WP locomotive engine .
